Unlucky and lucky
Here's a pic of what I call now the unlucky Lucky:
After further inspection this morning, the yarn I have is from different dye lots and it's noticeable in day light...sob...
I'm not going to undo it, but I'm not going to knit on. Maybe I'm able to get some more of that yarn sometime in the future...
When I visited my favorit bead shop in town(can't show pics of beads I brought cause they are becoming stitch markers for my Knitty SP ;-)) there was a chimney sweeper. You know, when you touch one or shake hands you will get lucky. Well, after the unlucky lucky, I thought I could need a bit of luck, so I touched him(hey, no dirty thoughts please! I touched his shoulders! And I did ask.).
Believe it or not, but it worked. First it didn't rain when I was outside today. Second, my Ebay-packages arrived:
The greyish looking yarn(which is actually more green) is for a samus for my mum, the other one is for me. I love it!
I began CO for Samus, but soon realized, that the chart is not working for me as it is, so I took a couple of markers:
It's much easier for me now, but sooooooooo slow. Thank god, I have enough time till christmas!
Here's the next project to be knitted after the two above. Actually I don't even know what exactly I want to knit-sweater or cardigan, that's for sure-, but I swatched this yarn. It's Lana Grossa "Mega Stoppino". At 3.95 per 50g it's not a bargain, but 500g should be enough. I found a cheaper yarn online, but it's a bit more irregular and with shipping cost the difference would be about 7€. I better support my local LYS.
Also planning on participating in this challenge. It will be a nice thing for the train+bus ride to the physic lab I have to do the next two weeks.
